Taste Cheshire Food Drink Awards 2017-42

Voting has started in the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Awards 2019 to find the top culinary businesses in the county.

The awards, a benchmark for customer satisfaction and company achievement, first began in 1999 and the first notable recipient was Brasserie 1016.

They are now the most voted for Food and Drink Awards in the UK with more than 40,000 votes registered in 2017 and 2018.

Customers vote for and nominate their favourite places in 13 different categories.

This year the number of awards has increased to 16 with three new categories added for food producers.

A Taste Cheshire spokesperson said: “We also represent over 100 different small food and drink producers in Cheshire and they have been asking for some time to be recognise at these awards, so we have added three further categories to our already large list to include these food and drink production heroes across Cheshire.”

Everyone is encouraged to vote for their favourite place or producer in each category by going on line to www.tastecheshire.com and visiting the awards page.

Voting is free, but only one voting form will register from each computer/email address.

Taste Cheshire General Manager Briony Wilson said: “Over the past 20 years the awards have become so popular and we are proud that they are seen by many as a benchmark of quality right across our region.

“The food and drinking scene in our area has really flourished and we believe our awards reflect the incredible standard on offer.

“Cheshire truly is The County of Food and Drink.

“At Taste Cheshire we are proud to be able to shout about our venues and producers and to honour those at the pinnacle of their profession with these awards.”

Voting ends on March 3.

Taste Cheshire will then name four/five nominations in each category who will be mystery dined by a panel of industry judges.

These judges will complete a report on each venue which is available to the venue after the winners have been announced, showing how their business was judged.

The 2019 winners will be crowned at the gala dinner on April 24 at the Pavilion at Chester Racecourse.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
