assault - man with serious injuries - police tape by jayneandd

A shopkeeper was injured in a sword attack inside a Nantwich Road store in Crewe, say police.

The incident happened in Crewe Supermarket, at around 7-7.30pm on Friday (January 4) where the shopkeeper suffered injuries to his shoulder.

Police say the attacker, a man, was white, slim build, 184cm, wearing dark clothing with a scarf covering the lower half of his face.

Detective Inspector Claire Jesson, of Crewe Police, said: “This is a nasty incident and seemingly unprovoked.

“I am urging anyone with information regarding the identity of this offender, any customers present in the shop at the time or any other persons in the vicinity to contact us as a matter of urgency please.

“I would reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and we are doing everything possible to catch the person responsible.”

If anyone has any information they should contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting reference IML 286616

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
