Staff and students with Car Tranplants vehicle 1

Motor vehicle students at Reaseheath College in Nantwich are learning their trade on the latest road cars thanks to local automotive company Car Transplants.

The latest intake of vehicle technicians are developing practical skills on a range of models and static engines loaned by Car Transplants as part of its long partnership with the college.

The company, based in Hurleston, is the leading car breaker in the north west and specialises in repairable vehicles and safe car disposal.

Each year it supplies Reaseheath with around 10 modern road cars.

The students work on the vehicles in Reaseheath’s automative workshop, which has 10 vehicle ramps, modern diagnostic equipment and a simulated MOT standard test lane.

They also train on the static engines supplied by Car Transplants.

Motor Vehicle programme leader Simon Bishop said: “We were delighted to receive the latest delivery of cars from Car Transplants.

“The vehicles are typical of the road cars which come into garages for repair or service on a daily basis.

“By introducing our students to current technology and systems we are able to give them relevant skills which prepare them for the world of work.”

Mark Schofield, managing director of Car Transplants, said: “We actively support Reaseheath’s motor vehicle department because the next generation of motor vehicle technicians are the future life blood of our industry.

“Our partnership with the college is also part of our wider engagement with our local community.”

In further links with Reaseheath, Car Transplants sponsors student awards and supports the college’s Family Festival by exhibiting its show truck.

It also supplies the two vehicles used by Nantwich’s ambulance first responders while Reaseheath’s vehicle technicians provide regular servicing and safety checks.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
