Manager Dave Cooke was able to rest a number of senior players to keep them fresh as they look to push towards the summit of the Evo-Stik Premier League.

The Dabbers bounced back defeat to Matlock to claim a convincing 4-1 away win at North Ferriby United on Saturday, and are now in second place and closing in on leaders Scarborough.

Cooke said: “I’m really pleased we have got back on track, the lads have to take the credit as we had two good training sessions in the week and talked about the game last Saturday.

“The run was always going to end one day, we surrendered poorly in the second half, but the lads couldn’t wait to get back on the pitch to get back and gain three points which we did very well to do.

“I was disappointed that we gave away the goal as I said to the lads at half time, if we go in at 3-0 then its pretty much game over.

“We gave them a lifeline and you could see that in the second half for 10-15 minutes they came out with a lot of energy.

“But the fourth goal put it to bed and we could have won by a lot more in the end.

“I’m really pleased, it’s another win, another game chalked off and we will go again next week at Bamber Bridge.”

The Dabbers next match is this Saturday November 17 (3pm kick-off) away at Bamber Bridge in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division.

It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
