ditch - Cheshire Fire and Rescue from Audlem Fire Station displayed a full size fire appliance

Fire crews across Cheshire tackled a large barn blaze at a farm in Tarporley last night.

The fire broke out at around 10.40pm on Hickhurst Lane, Tarporley.

Cheshire Fire Service sent two fire engines from Crewe, two from Winsford, one from Tarporley, two from Northwich, the aerial ladder platform from Chester and a supporting pump, one engine from Nantwich and one from Audlem all attended.

It was in a large brick barn which was well alight and the fire was spreading to an adjacent domestic property.

Crews, four wearing breathing apparatus, used two ground monitors, two hose reel jets, a main jet and the aerial appliance to fight the fire.

The main fire was extinguished by 1.30am and crews spent the night monitoring the site with thermal imaging cameras and dampening down any hot spots.

It’s thought there are no injuries.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
