Gourmet Supper Club - Jonathan and Rob

Foodies have flocked to be part of a new fine dining experience in Nantwich.

The Gourmet Supper Club’s first event has sold out and there will be a full house at Olea Italian Cafe & Kitchen on Church Lane in Nantwich on October 21.

Already tickets are selling like the proverbial hot cakes for the next event at the new Nantwich eating and entertainment venue, 34 Pepper Street, on December 9.

Club founders Jonathan Welford and Rob Hardy, of Kingsley Village, Nantwich, hope to boost footfall in small and quirky local venues while taking local people on a gastronomic journey.

Director of Dining Jonathan said: “We are thrilled at the response, especially as the first event is raising money for our chosen charities.

“We can’t wait to meet fellow foodies at Olea later this month.

“Bon appétit to all.”

The couple are members of the Rotary Club of Bentley Cheshire and proceeds from the first event will be split between its charities and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Gourmet Supper Club (1)Rob, a psychotherapist based in Nantwich, added: “The aim is to create the atmosphere of attending a good friend’s dinner party and offer an intimate dining experience. We want everyone to feel welcome, couples and singles.

“Events will be staged throughout South Cheshire and people seem to enjoy guessing where the ‘pop up’ supper club will take place next.”

The club has received positive feedback on social media – as well as word of mouth.

“Everyone attending receives a good ‘old-fashioned’ invitation in the post requesting the pleasure of their company,” added Rob.

“It’s surprising in these days of modern technology how people still love to receive an invitation through their letterbox.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
