councillor election candidate - polling station, leave campaign wins Brexit vote

An election will take place to select a new Nantwich Town Council south ward councillor.

The position became vacant following the death of Cllr Norma Simpson back in July.

Three people are standing for the position, and the election will be held on Thursday October 4.

Candidates include Richard Alexander Banks (Labour) of Crewe Road, Riddell Graham (Independent), of Shrewbridge Road, and Philip James Staley (Conservative), of Audlem Road.

Voters can cast their vote on Thursday October 4, between 7am and 10pm, at the Polling Station in Brookfield Hall, off Shrewbridge Road, Nantwich.

Cllr Simpson served on Nantwich Town Council since 2007.

She represented a number of voluntary and community groups, including Nantwich Museum and Nantwich in Bloom.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
