Nantwich teenager Madison Heath claimed another honour when she was crowned Equithème Leading Pony Showjumper of the Year Qualifier at Bicton Arena.
With the only double clear of the class, Madison shot in to first place in Salterton, Devon, ahead of 21 other competitors.
All riders were focused on picking up one of the three qualification tickets on offer for the Championship Final held at Horse of the Year Show later this year.
The technical course saw poles fall and only two clears were produced in the first round.
And Madison made the long journey from Cheshire worthwhile as she jumped in to first place with Sarah Williams’ eight-year-old brown mare, Flavia.
The pair were on fine form as they jumped another foot perfect round to cross the finish line in 54.46 seconds with a double clear.
Those placed first to fourth can compete in the Equithème National 148cm Championship at the British Showjumping National Championships August 7-12 at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park.
The Horse of the Year Show 2018 will take place from October 3-7 at Birmingham’s NEC.
It crowns an amazing season for Madison who this week will compete for GB in the European championships in Fontainebleau, France.
Madison is the one of the five riders selected for the Children squad who are sponsored by Natural Animal Feeds (NAF).
She will be competing with Burgana, a 12-year-old Bay mare, which is owned by Claire Beecroft.
The Children, Junior and Young Rider Nations Cups competitions all take place 8th-15th July.
Madison said: “I’ve always had ambitions for European Championships, so I am absolutely delighted to have been selected for the GB squad again.
“The next few weeks are going to be filled with training and preparation ready for the event, it’s so exciting.”
