Edible Garden - flower market

A second Flower Market will be taking place in Nantwich town square this Saturday June 16.

Last year, the town welcomed hundreds of visitors to the new event, which saw stalls packed with an abundance of colour.

Organised by Nantwich Town Council, this year event promises to be even better, bringing together a collection of more than 30 traders showcasing flowers, plants, suitably themed crafts and gifts.

Reaseheath College will be supporting the event with both their Horticultural and Floristry departments taking part.

Their stall will feature numerous plants and flowers including a decorated Dutch bike, and Glasshouse grown tomatoes and strawberries will be available for sale.

There will also be hand-tie and hanging basked demonstrations (12pm and 2pm) and ‘have a go’ button hole features.

Local florist The Little Cottage Garden will give a demonstration on Wedding Table Displays at 11am.

And for those planning their big days, FiFi boutiques floral arch, head garlands and hand-tied bouquets are worth a look.

Garden enthusiasts should be around at 1pm when Duncan from Owens Bros Worcester talks about seasonal colour.

An addition to the market this year is The Edible Garden Nursery – a leading culinary herb and edible plant nursery travelling up from Devon.

The Flower Market runs from 9am until 3pm and is a free event.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
