Big-hearted staff and friends of a school in Crewe will be attempting the National 3 Peaks Challenge this month in aid of Nantwich Foodbank.
The team from Adelaide School will attempt to complete the challenge on June 29-30.
Three members of staff and two friends of the Special Education Needs School aim to climb the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Mount Snowdon) in under 24 hours.
They will be walking 23 miles, a total ascent of 10,052ft, and driving more than 460 miles by road between remote locations.
Executive headteacher Sarah Martin said: “I am so very proud of my staff whose dedication has already been formally acknowledged this year when our school retained its “Outstanding” inspection status from Ofsted.
“And they are showing yet again that nothing fazes them.”
Paul Stone, a Nantwich Foodbank Trustee, said: “We are absolutely delighted Adelaide School has chosen to support our cause.
“We experienced a 21% increase in the amount of food we distributed to individuals/families in crisis in South Cheshire last year, and we desperately need to improve our facilities to meet this demand.
