A fire in a large shed spread to trees and fences at a house in Wistaston.

Fire crews were called out to the incident on Millrace Drive at around 6pm last night (May 29).

They found a large shed was well alight and used two hose reels and one breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire which also spread to trees and fences.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 90 minutes. There were no reports of any injuries.

In a separate incident, fire crews tackled a tractor fire in Baddington, near Nantwich.

The fire broke out at around 10am today (May 30) on Coole Lane.

Fire crews from Nantwich and Crewe attended and found the tractor well alight.

The team used two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.

Crews also used specialist mats to stop leaking oil from entering nearby water courses.
