Oatis - Mornflake, Triathlon series

Thousands of people will be energised by South Cheshire firm Mornflake’s products this summer – starting with 900 competitors in this weekend’s Nantwich Triathlon.

The company is supporting a range of festivals and shows over the next few months.

And it all starts on Sunday (May 20) when hardy competitors descend on Nantwich for the biggest crowd-puller of this summer’s UK triathlon series.

Entrants will swim distances of 200m or 500m at Nantwich Pool, followed by a 21k cycle ride and a 2.5k or 5k run ending at Barony Park where there will be family attractions.

More than 10,000 competitors will take part in the UK Triathlon series around the country between now and October.

And Mornflake hopes to keep them fuelled with energy-boosting porridge products as they swim, cycle and run to medal glory.

Mornflake ambassadors will also be out in force at more than 50 dates over the next five months.

Mornflake’s vintage van Oatis will be at RHS Chatsworth Flower Show, Bolesworth Horse Show, Henley Regatta and Love Supreme Jazz Festival in Lewes, East Sussex in June.

And in July, it will be at Nantwich Show, Goodwood Festival of Speed, CarFest North, World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) Wiltshire and Love Trails music and running festival in South Wales.

Nantwich Food Festival, world-famous sailing regatta at Cowes, CarFest South and Shrewsbury Folk Festival are in the diary for August while September’s itinerary includes Hampton Court Handmade Fair, Blenheim Half Marathon and various triathlon events.

Mornflake marketing manager Richard Jones said: “It’s always great to get out and meet the people who buy our cereals and hear how much they enjoy them.

“As we travel up and down the country, we fly the flag for healthy eating, our centuries old milling expertise and our home in South Cheshire.”

The company will also have a big presence at the Royal Cheshire County Show, June 19-20, and this year it makes a debut as sponsor of Nantwich Schools Fest – a giant celebration of music and art, involving over 3000 pupils from the town’s primary schools.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
