Final whistle - Manager Dave Cooke punches the air in celebration

Nantwich Town will play their Cheshire Senior Cup final against Stockport Town FC on May 2.

Dave Cooke’s team clinched their place in the final with a dramatic 4-3 semi-final win at home to Stalybridge Celtic on Monday night.

Steve Jones bagged the winner in the 95th  minute to secure the second consecutive Cheshire Cup final.

The final is scheduled for a 7.45pm kick off taking place at Runcorn Linnets Millbank Stadium on Stockham Lane, Runcorn.

Nantwich return to Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division action tonight with an away match at Buxton.

Buxton, in 10th place, still have a slim chance of making the playoffs, but it would mean winning all of their remaining fixtures, as well as scoring plenty of goals.

More likely their new joint-managers Paul Phillips and Steve Halford will be looking towards next season for a promotion push.

Former manager Martin McIntosh was axed two months ago after six years at the club due to an inconsistent season.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
