wear a hat day for brain tumour research

St Bartholomew’s Church in Church Minshull is holding a ‘Wear a Hat Day’ Messy Church fundraising event at 11am on March 25.

‘Wear a Hat Day’ supports Brain Tumour Research and St Bartholomew’s is hoping people will support this event by turning-up wearing a hat.

There will be hat-making activities, the chance for people to have their photo taken in the ‘photo booth’ and a lucky dip.

The hat theme will be woven with the theme of charity and there will be a children’s bible story linked to the importance of being charitable.

There will even be a guest appearance from a children’s TV character and hat-themed refreshments.

Liz Boote, Church Minshull event organiser, said: “Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.

“Yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

“This is why it’s so important to run fundraising events such as this.

“We hope people will show their support by joining in the fun.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
