Walking Rugby

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC and Sale Sharks have teamed up to stage their first Walking Rugby event.

They hope launching this version of the game will attract new members to the club based at the Vagrants in Willaston.

The first session will be at the club on Saturday April 14.

A Crewe & Nantwich RUFC spokesman said: “This is open to all ages and abilities with the aim to give people a different fitness activity which is non-contact but still energetic.

“This is being hosted by Sale Sharks with their own community coaches running the session and will included full training.

“There is no charge for the event and it’s a mixed group activity.”

People keen to try it should arrive at 12.30pm on April 14. For more details email [email protected], or call 07568 053428.

The club is also hosting a Sporting Dinner, at Nantwich Civic Hall, with guest speaker Jason Leonard.

The former England international and MBE recipient will be speaking at the dinner on Friday March 23.

Doors open at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £40 per person, including a three-course meal.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
