mains - water supplies (pic by kitto)

Hundreds of Nantwich homes have been without water or suffered low pressure all day due to a leaking mains.

United Utilities engineers have been repairing the burst which they say was on Winsford Road bypass A51 junction.

Four water-on-wheels vehicles were sent there to pump water directly into the mains.

“Most customers should have water although this may be at a reduced pressure,” said a United Utilities spokesperson.

“We are aware some of you are still experiencing no water and we are working as hard as we can to restore your supply.”

Repairs got underway at lunchtime today (January 13) and engineers have been onsite since midday.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Hope this will soon be fixed and that our water will be drinkable!

Have looked on the Map and can’t see where Winsford Road goes anywhere near the A51! Which bypass were you referring to, please?
