Santa Dash - Jessica Ayden and family (1)

Festive families are gearing up for the annual Nantwich Santa Dash event to raise money for Hope House Children’s Hospice.

The race takes place in through Nantwich town centre on Sunday December 10, sponsored by Tarporley-based recycling firm RUKGroup.com.

Participants can choose either the 2.5km dash – or the longer 5km race. Both start at 11am.

Registration is £5 per adult and children are free with a paying adult.

All participants will receive a medal, mince pies donated by Chatwins, chocolate donated by Sugro UK in Nantwich, and water donated by Morrisons.

Hope House provides specialist nursing care and support to children and families across Cheshire, like Aydan and his family from Crewe.

Aydan, aged 6, and his mum and dad Jessica and Michael have been receiving respite care and support at Hope House and in their family home for four years.

He regularly visits Hope House and enjoys fun with other children, playing and painting, while visits also gives Jessica and Michael a chance to recharge their batteries, and spend time with their other children Alex, Poppy, and Daisy.

The family even took part in a previous Santa Dash – and won Best Fancy Dress!

All money raised from the Santa Dash will go directly to Hope House Children’s Hospices and help support local families.

Area Fundraiser Hannah Penney said: “We are again very excited for this event especially after previous year’s success and its lovely to see everyone taking part and enjoying themselves.

“We would like to say a huge thank you RUK Group.com, Experts in Recycling, for being the headline sponsor of this event.

“Their continued support over the years has been amazing, and it’s been a pleasure to work with them on this event.

“It’s also great to have many local businesses on board – we look forward to seeing everyone on the 10th in their festive fancy dress!”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
