A woman had a lucky escape after her car careered out of control and flipped over on the A529 at Hatherton.

The incident happened at around 6am today on the Audlem Road between Nantwich and Audlem.

Cheshire Police say they were called to a one vehicle collision where a Ford Puma had collided with the verge and overturned.

The driver, a 25-year-old woman from Market Drayton, is not thought to have been seriously injured.

Cheshire East Highways attended to clear oil from the road before the road reopened at around 9am.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Cars do not career out of control on their own. True enough, the driver was lucky to avoid serious injury, but most of the frequent accidents in this location must be the result of driver error, principally excessive speed.
The automatic ‘Slow’ signs do not seem to be influencing driver behaviour – time for a reduction in the speed limit before we are reading about a fatal accident
