Nantwich and Crewe residents certainly entered into the ‘spirit’ of Halloween as hundreds of homes were decorated in ghoulish gear.
Thousands of youngsters and their parents took to the streets for the now traditional ‘trick or treat’ fest.
Even Nantwich Police officers (pictured) joined in the fun while on patrol on the look out for anti-social behaviour.
These pictures (below), sent in by Jonathan White, show just a few of the homes and buildings adorned with scary decor.
“They were all a spooktacular sight,” said Jonathan.
“I particularly liked the house on Barn Croft Road, the house on Moss Field Place, two houses on Verdin Court, and the house Capenhurst Avenue with its monster maze featuring two real pigs heads!
“And there was an impressive range of pumpkins at Millrace Drive.”
There was also an ‘Active Halloween Challenge’ app based adventure trail around Crewe Town Centre, organised by the Crewe Town Council in partnership with Everybody Sport & Recreation & Active Cheshire.
