A fundraising evening of film entertainment by Crewe Movie Makers took place at Wistaston Memorial Hall, writes Jonathan White.
Members of Crewe Movie Makers presented a showreel of 20 individual movies which members had filmed and edited.
Categories included factual, humorous, local and historical.
There were refreshments during the interval provided by members of the hall’s management committee, under the organisation of Audrey Astbury.
Proceeds from the event of £181 will go to Wistaston Memorial Hall’s funds.
John White, Wistaston Memorial Hall committee chairman, said: “The original plan to have a film show for the hall’s funds, was put forward by Mike Hassall, at the suggestion of the members.
“We are grateful to Crewe Movie Makers members Isabel, Alan W, Howard (Club Chairman), Alan D and Eddie (Master of Ceremonies) for all their behind the scenes effort and for helping on the night.
“It was a special occasion with so many memorable events recorded.”
Crewe Movie Makers meet on the first, third and fifth (if applicable) Tuesday (8pm start), from September to May, at Wistaston Memorial Hall (The Walter Holmes Room).
New members are always welcome.
