Staff at Fat Face in Nantwich raised £873 from their anti-Black Friday campaign and Snowdon trek in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.
Fat Face boycotted ‘Black Friday’ in 2015 and the company made a statement against the discounting epidemic by creating a bold campaign called “Thanks for Giving”.
It encouraged donating rather than discounting and customers made an impact to local charities, raising more than £200,000 nationally.
Staff at the Fat Face store on High Street in Nantwich ran the campaign again in 2016 and went the extra mile to raise additional funds through a Snowdon trek.
In total, they raised more than £873 for St Luke’s Hospice.
St Luke’s supporter and Nantwich store manager Stephanie Tait said: “We are delighted to have helped the Hospice again this year.
“We have quite a few customers who visit the store that have been touched by St Luke’s so it’s a charity close to a lot of people in the community.”
St Luke’s partnerships manager Steven Cook said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you from everyone at St Luke’s.
“It’s been a very challenging year and these types of initiatives really help us to continue our care services.”
Funds raised will help St Luke’s continue to care and support local people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
The hospice needs to raise £8,600 a day to provide vital care and services to people in mid and south Cheshire.
