Nantwich Olympic heroes Bryony Page and Andy Small have been honoured with Cheshire East’s Freedom of the Borough status.

Also honoured was Sir Philip Craven, now living in Cheshire, who is President of the International Olympic Committee and has played a major role in the huge success story of Team GB’s Paralympians.

Bryony, from Wrenbury, scooped a silver medal at Rio in the individual women’s trampoline, while Andy raced to a bronze medal in the Paralympic wheelchair event.

Former Brine Leas students Bryony Page and Andy Small were joined by Megan Giglia and Sophie Thornhill.

GB track cyclists Laura and Jason Kenny were two of the seven athletes and Paralympians honoured in total.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
