A Wybunbury teenager has signed a professional football contract with Welsh Premier League side The New Saints.

And Former Shavington High School pupil Jacob Farleigh, aged 17, made a big impact scoring on his debut with the Oswestry-based outfit.

Jacob, who also went to Wybunbury Delves Primary School, has been at TNS for 12 months before being offered the contract.

He attended Crewe Alex and Stoke Development Centres for a few years when he was younger.

He was also at Manchester United and Manchester City for short periods.

He arrived at The New Saints in summer 2015 after spending eight years at Shrewsbury FC Academy.

And Jacob scored on his professional debut (below) in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League game against Rhyl.
