Police chiefs claim South Cheshire’s streets are a safer place after a crime gang involved in supplying Class A drugs was jailed for nearly 35 years.
Nine men and one woman were all arrested following a series of dawn raids across Crewe, Northwich, Manchester and Staffordshire in 2014.
The raids were the culmination of undercover work by Cheshire Police into the supply of illegal Class A Drugs and led to the recovery of £220,000 worth of Cocaine.
Simon Camm, 29; Merold Stennett, 37; Christopher Wright, 32; Raphael Barry, 33; Jonathan Murphy, 27; Dean Ashley, 25; Stephanie Rowley, 25; Derrick Thompson, 29; Joseph Horton, 24; and Danny Roberts, 28, were all charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
The gang appeared at Chester Crown Court where the nine men all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Stephanie Rowley (pictured above) pleaded not guilty, but following a trial at Warrington Crown Court in June 2016 she was found guilty of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
The defendants all appeared at Chester Crown Court this week where the judge sentenced nine of them to a total of 34 years and 10 months in prison.

Dean Ashley, 3 years 4 months of Heron Crescent, Crewe – 3 years 4 months
Stephanie Rowley, 25, of Sunnybank Road, Crewe – 4 years
Derrick Thompson, 29, of Wardle Crescent, Leek – 3 years
Joseph Horton, 24, of YMCA, Gresty Road, Crewe – 1 year 8 months
Danny Roberts, 28,of Richard Street, Crewe – 4 years
The sentencing for the final defendant, Christopher Wright, 32, of Wiltshire Drive, Congleton, has been postponed for two weeks.
Detective Inspector Giles Pierce said: “This group brought misery to residents across Cheshire through their involvement in the supply of illegal drugs and it is pleasing to see the sentences that have been handed down.
“Operation Impact shows the commitment Cheshire Police has in targeting people who undermine our communities and bring misery to residents through their involvement in organised crime and illegal drugs.
“I hope this case sends out a clear message to other potential criminals that drugs crime will not be tolerated in Cheshire.”
Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner David Keane said: “Drugs have a detrimental impact on our communities and Cheshire residents have told me drugs are a key local issue for them.
“Tackling the issue of drug misuse and supply is of the uppermost importance to me.
“I will be working with the Chief Constable to ensure the excellent work the Constabulary has undertaken continues.”
Det Insp Pierce added: “Information from members of the public is vital in the fight against drug related crime and we would urge anyone with any information about suspected drug related activity in their area to get in touch.”
