Nantwich Singers, Shakespeare concert

The Nantwich Singers are to host a concert at St Mary’s Church as part of the Nantwich Parish Mission.

The Rector of St Mary’s recently declared that September would see the town’s churches come together to host events celebrating the town.

And the churches will also share in three key meetings at St Mary’s.

Nantwich Singers concert will be a shared event on Saturday September 24 beginning at 6pm and lasting around 40 minutes.

There will be a varied programme of sacred pieces, featuring music by Tallis, Weelkes, Gjeilo and Macmillan.

But the centrepiece will be “A Little Jazz Mass” by Bob Chilcott – an upbeat celebration of the well-known text, accompanied by piano.

Concert pianist John Gough will be playing on St Mary’s new concert grand piano.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
