Talented local tennis stars were honoured at the 2016 Slazenger South and Mid Cheshire Tennis League Presentation Day at Nantwich Tennis Club.

The event included two tournaments – open doubles and veterans doubles – and was enjoyed by dozens of players from a variety of local clubs.

In the open doubles final, Ian Young and Alex Lerczak beat Diane Mayman and Chris Jackson 5-3.

In the veterans doubles final, Ben Reinhardt and Giles Foden beat David Farrall and Mike Jones 5-3.

Refreshments were followed by the presentation of trophies from the league competitions.

Local winners included Nantwich and Wistaston.

The special ‘Stonelake Sporting Award’ was presented by league chairman Dave Clarke to Alma A’Court (Nantwich) for her outstanding sportsmanship in a longstanding tennis career.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
