A51 Bypass crash

A car ploughed into a garage in Nantwich after the driver lost control.

The accident happened on Meeanee Drive, just off Queens Drive, at around 10.40am today.

No one was injured or trapped, but the prefabricated garage suffered structural damage.

Firefighters and police had to cordon off the area and a structural engineer was called out to assess the damage to the building.

In a separate incident, fire crews tackled a blaze at a house on Balmoral Place, in Willaston at around 2pm today (August 4).

It’s believed the blaze was caused by a dishwasher, causing smoke logging to the property.

Firefighters from Crewe, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet at the incident and took the dishwasher outside.

They then ventilated the property and checked there were no hotspots of fire.

No one was injured in the incident.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
