Police probing a jewellery shop raid in Nantwich are appealing to motorists for dashcam footage.
Offenders wearing balaclavas forced a hole in the window of Moody’s jewellery shop on Pillory Street in Nantwich and stole a number of watches.
They then made off in a vehicle after the incident shortly after 11am yesterday (July 27).
Officers attended and carried out inquiries at the scene and searched the area.
They found a car on Brine Road in Nantwich which had been set on fire.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue attended to deal with the small fire.
Now detectives are hoping to piece together footage of any suspicious vehicles seen in the area at the time.
Detective Inspector Alison Ross said: “We’re particularly keen to hear from any motorists who were driving along Wellington Road, Audlem Road or Peter de Stapleigh Way on the morning of Wednesday July 27.
“If you have dashcam footage and were in the areas we mentioned that morning I would ask you to us contact us so we can progress with our enquiries.”
Four men were arrested on suspicion of robbery after a van was stopped on the M6 in Staffordshire.
The inquiry involved work with North West Motorway Group, Central Police Motorway Group, West Midlands Motorway Group and Staffordshire Police.
