A Nantwich golfer scored his first ever hole-in-one – at Open Championship venue Royal Lytham St Anne’s!
Tim Jackson achieved the feat on the very first hole at Lytham – the 197-yard par three.
And while the golfing world marvelled at Henrik Stenson’s Open Championship victory at the weekend, Tim enjoyed his own glorious golfing moment.
Tim, from Poole, in Nantwich, is a member of Brookfield Golf Club in Hankelow and plays off a 16 handicap.
He was enjoying a four-day trip to Lytham St Anne’s with a group of friends from Brookfield, Congleton and Runcorn Golf Clubs, organised by Quality Golf Destinations.
“It was the first time Tim had played on an Open Championship course,” said Rob Matthews, at Quality Golf Destinations.
“And it was also extra special as this was his first hole-in-one and also the first shot of the day from the Championship tee!”
