civic hall building damaged after car park smash

A driver reversing in a Nantwich car park smashed into parked vehicles and badly damaged a Civic Hall building in one incident.

The motorist was reversing away from Marks and Spencer on the Civic Centre car park.

Her vehicle crashed into two parked cars behind her, and these were pushed into the wall of a storage building at the back of the Civic Hall.

Nantwich Town Council, which owns the facility, revealed the storage building may now have to be demolished due to the damage.

The council clerk said: “The driver was obviously shocked but not hurt. Thankfully, no other people were involved or walking by at the time.

“From what the insurance company loss adjuster was saying, we may have to demolish the storage building as a result.

“The roof is extensively damaged, as is the rear elevation.”

The incident on July 4 has been left in the hands of four different insurance companies representing three damaged vehicles and a damaged building.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
