Nantwich teenager Bobbie Heath claimed victory at an equestrian Pony Premier Show.
The 14-year-old was the star in the Final Charles Stanley Winter JA Classic at Bury Farm Equestrian Village.
These highly anticipated classes proved to be a highpoint of the show.
Forty-four combinations contested the final three qualifying places that were available in each event for the prestigious Charles Stanley Winter JA Classic Championship, which will be held during the International Horse Show on July 1-3.
Bobbie Heath and Alexander McLean showed their composure and determination by taking both of the top spots available.
Bobbie won the qualifier on board Cisco Bay II, a 12-year-old bay gelding owned by Graham Heath.
Bobbie and Cisco Bay II (pictured) proved to be a class act, showing that more haste and less speed really does pay off.
Out of 19 starters, they were the only combination to jump clear in 69.07 seconds.
Thirteen-year-old Nicole Lockhead Anderson took second place riding Claire Lockhead’s 17 year-old bay mare, Just Dolce.
They picked up an unlucky four faults around the midway point, but Nicole and Just Dolce came through the finish in 69.61.
Third spot was taken by 13-year-old Lily Freeman Attwood, from Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Lily rode Emily Freeman Attwood’s 13-year-old bay gelding, Konzales Van Orchids, and she secured her place in the top three as the second fastest 4 faulter in 72.61 seconds.
