The A51 through Stapeley and Walgherton near Nantwich will close for five days for improvements and repairs, drivers are warned.
Cheshire East Highways is replacing road markings and patching London Road between the junctions of Back Lane and Checkley Lane from February 15-19.
Gully cleansing and drainage repairs will also take place in this location.
London Road will be closed between the Peter Destapleigh Way/Elwood Way junction, Stapeley and the A525 in Woore.
Work is planned to take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm during the February school half-term holiday so peak travel hours should remain unaffected.
Any winter maintenance gritting activities will be unaffected.
A diversion route will be put in place to help traffic during the work.
It will be signed via the A529 and A525, also operating in reverse. This route will be mapped out using variable message signs.
Emergency access will be maintained and local residents and businesses have been informed.
Businesses on London Road will be open as usual and staff will be available at closure points to arrange entrance and exit to both properties and businesses.
Traffic marshals will be on hand to provide help and as first point of contact, to members of the public throughout the duration of the scheme.
Cllr David Brown, Cabinet member in charge of highways, said: “In order to minimise disruption, we’ve taken a decision to do this during the school half-term to make access available at peak hours.
“We will be carrying out gully emptying so that we do not have to return in the near future.”
