Showtime - Crewe Lyceum Theatre, to stage a wedding fayre, and summer events

One of the UK’s best theatre companies, Talking Scarlet is back at Crewe Lyceum this week with a classic crime thriller, writes Claire Faulkner.

Written by Frederick Knott and directed by Patric Kearns, ‘Dial M for Murder’ has everything you might want for a terrific night out at the theatre.

Full of suspense and intrigue, this production had me and the rest of the audience gripped from the start.

‘Tony’ suspects his wife of having an affair and decides to get revenge.

Through a series of dramatic twists and turns, the audience follows him as he puts a plan into action with disastrous consequences.

I don’t want to give the story away, but can only recommend you go along and see what happens for yourself.

In my experience, Talking Scarlet has always brought fantastic productions to Crewe, and ‘Dial M for Murder’ is one of the best of them.

The cast was excellent. Oliver Mellor played a wonderful yet devious ‘Tony’.

He was cast opposite the marvellous Terri Dwyer as ‘Shelia’ and John Hester, as the fabulous Inspector Hubbard.

‘Dial M for Murder’ is at The Crewe Lyceum until Thursday January 21.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
