Ambulance - trapped - man trapped (creative commons licence)

A woman was badly injured in a road crash which has left a Nantwich road blocked.

Fire crews and police were called to the two-car accident on Ravens Lane, near Monks Lane in Acton.

The woman was trapped in a vehicle involved in the collision on Ravens Lane.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue say firefighters from Nantwich and Crewe used specialised cutting equipment to free the injured woman.

Police and ambulance are at the scene and the air ambulance has been called for.

Ravens Lane has been closed by police while the incident is being tackled.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
