The Very Best In Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on December 4 for the last show of 2015.
Veteran comic Sean Meo, a former ‘Time Out Comedian of the Year’, will open the night in his debut Nantwich performance.
Meo is acknowledged as one of the finest performers and writers on the UK comedy circuit.
A former professional snooker player, he turned to a career in comedy in 1989.
He has performed all over the world and made three appearances at the Montreal Comedy Festival.
The second act is Marlon Davis, a star of his own MTV series ‘Brown Eyed Boy’.
This bright young comedian, improviser and actor was crowned winner of the broadcast FHM ‘Search For A Stand-up Competition’.
He was also finalist in three other national comedy awards, and headlined at Leicester Comedy Festival show, London’s Comedy Store, Comedy Café & ‘BBC Presents’ Comedy.
Third act is the award-winning Carey Marx, a circuit favourite for years, mixing his own blend of dark humour with his mischievous and gleeful delivery.
Marx regularly plays Jongleurs, Komedia and The Comedy Store and annually comperes Reading, Leeds and Glastonbury Festivals.
Carey has taken shows to numerous Edinburgh Festival Fringes – his most successful festival in 2013 with his show ‘Intensive Carey’.
Compere for the evening is Pete Otway, who has established himself as a natural and original comic, known for mixing a razor sharp wit with an affable charm and creative writing.
He made the finals of the BBC New Comedy Award in 2012, and was chosen to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe as part of ‘Just The Tonic’s’ prestigious Big Value Showcase in 2013.
Tickets for the December 4 show are on sale priced £10.
