CCTV of man after Civic Hall damage

Police have issued a CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with criminal damage at Nantwich Civic Hall.

Officers are probing an incident which led to £1,500 worth of damage caused at the Civic Hall on Market Street.

The incident which took place at about 2.30am on Sunday, November 8.

A man was allegedly seen in a row with a taxi driver outside the venue before urinating in the doorway.

He was then captured on CCTV smashing the front door of the hall and entering the building, before leaving soon after.

Nantwich PC Matt Stonier said: “In total around £1,500 worth of damage was caused. The identity of the male pictured is sought.

“Cheshire Constabulary, the mayor and members of the town council are keen to locate the offender responsible for this crime and the incident was discussed at the recent town council meeting at which myself and fellow town centre officer PC Harley attended.”
