Liam Shotton, scored as Nantwich miss out on Wembley FA Trophy final

Nantwich Town will visit National League North side Stockport County in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

The Dabbers will travel to the former League side after easing past Kings Lynn 5-1 at the Weaver Stadium on Saturday.

A second-half hat-trick by hot-shot Liam Shotton saw off the East Anglia team.

Steve Jones had given Nantwich a 10th minute lead, and Shotton bagged his first on the hour mark for 2-0.

Sam Gaughran pulled one back for the visitors on 75 minutes, but the Dabbers killed the tie with two goals in two minutes when Lewis Short then Shotton scored on 77 and 79 minutes.

Shotton earned the match ball when he fired home an 82nd minute penalty.

The third round draw, made this lunchtime (November 16), has pitted the two Cheshire clubs at Edgeley Park on Saturday November 28, kick off 3pm.

It also means Nantwich’s scheduled home league match against Mickleover Sports on the same day will be re-arranged for a new date.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
