nantwich mayor's big quiz 2015

Record numbers packed into the Civic Hall in Nantwich to take part in the Mayor’s Big Quiz.

The event, organised by Nantwich Town Council, saw teams come together to raise more than £1,000 for the Mayor’s local charities, including Nantwich Food Bank, Nantwich In Bloom, Nantwich Museum and Nantwich Players.

Current Mayor Cllr Andrew Martin said he was delighted that the night broke all records with a massive 32 teams entering.

Cllr Martin added: “I am so pleased with the success of the event, which was very well supported by the local community.

“We had teams who just love quizzes, through to the charities we were raising funds for, Nantwich events teams, local businesses and traders, even the Mayor of Poynton joined us!

“Everyone seemed to have great fun!

“On a personal note I would like to thank all the Nantwich Town Council staff for their time and efforts, and also Chris Radford from The Cat Radio for compering the event and ensuring it all ran smoothly.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
