Nantwich Rotarians and their friends took to the skies to raise money for the Rotary International Fund.

Twelve men and women from the Nantwich Rotary group visited Staffordshire Gliding Club to experience the thrill of gliding.

President Elect Christine Crowe was the first to be flung into the skies quickly followed by last year’s President Tony Coxhill.

Organiser Tony Hoy said: “This is the second year we have been gliding and I can honestly say it is just as enjoyable the second time around as the first.”

Nicola Morgan-Parker, one of the members, added: “I was very nervous about going up in the glider but once up there, the views are amazing as you can see form the pictures I took!”

The Staffordshire Gliding Club is based at Seighford Airfield near Stafford.

Nantwich Rotary group meetings take place at the Nantwich Civic Hall each Tuesday lunchtime.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
