The family of a 21-year-old who died following a collision in Nantwich, has paid tribute to him.
Declan Hassall was killed after his car collided with a lorry on London Road in Stapeley yesterday (August 5).
The lorry driver was seriously injured in the accident and is being treated in hospital.
Police say it happened at around 4.20am.
In a statement, Declan’s family said: “Our beloved son tragically passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
“He was a loving son of whom we are and will always be immensely proud of.
“Declan will also be dearly missed by his two close brothers, aunty, uncle, cousins, beautiful girlfriend, work colleagues and all his friends.
“He will always be remembered as a talented young man, who crammed absolutely everything he could into every day, with the people he loved the most.
“Our grief, as a family, is total.
“We would appreciate being allowed to mourn privately.
“A life all too short, which will always be remembered. Rest in peace son.”
Police received reports of a collision between a car and a lorry on London Road at 4.22am on August 5.
Emergency services attended the scene, but car driver Declan died at the scene.
The driver of the lorry sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
Cheshire Police are calling for anyone with any information to call them on 101, quoting incident number 105 of 5th August.
