Big Day Out Nantwich, 2014

This year’s Big Day Out in Nantwich is a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in aid of St Luke’s Hospice and Macmillan.

The event will be held at the Nantwich Show ground on Sunday August 2 from 11am to 4pm.

It makes use of the huge hospitality marquee from the Nantwich Show, which takes place four days earlier on July 29.

It means many activities will be protected from adverse weather conditions.

The Big Day Out is staged by RedShift Radio, Little Tigers Magazine and inNantwich.net

Organisers are keen to cement it into the annual events calendar as a celebration of South Cheshire communities.

Attractions this year include Bubble Footie, Paintball, Archery, Quad Bikes and Giant inflatables.

In the Community, Grown Up, Play and Shopping Zones, there will be arts and crafts for children, soft play, party games, treasure hunt, film quiz, pizzas, BBQ, real ale and cocktails hosted by organisations from Crewe and Nantwich.

There will even be a replica Spitfire to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Guests are being invited to “Wear a Mad Hat for Macmillan” or “Sing a Song for St Luke’s” by participating in the photo or karaoke competitions.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
