A giant Tyrannosaurus Rex called Tyrone will be roaming Reaseheath College’s campus in Nantwich.
The T-Rex will be seen by hundreds when the college holds its action-packed Family Festival this Sunday May 17.
The dinosaur will be meeting crowds of young admirers as he strolls the college gardens, accompanied by his keeper.
Other stars of the Family Festival, which is themed ‘The Land of Science and Nature’, include Atkinson’s Action Horses which will perform stunts with their trick riders at the college’s Equestrian Centre.
TV’s The Fabulous Baker Brothers will be keeping crowds amused with their cookery skills and showmanship and stilt walkers dressed as daffodils!
All of the campus will be open and visitors will find a range of activities on offer.
The programme will include hundreds of demonstrations put on by all college departments.
Families will be able to sample local ice cream, tour the college zoo’s collection of exotic animals birds and reptiles, have a go at brick-laying and joinery, and try out a climbing wall and high ropes course.
Other demonstrations will include sheep shearing, traditional weaving, side saddle, show jumping, dog agility and archery.
There’s also a farm and craft market, a range of food stalls and lively entertainment from local dance groups and bands.
Faye Thomson-Butt, deputy marketing manager at Reaseheath College, said: “Reaseheath’s Family Festival has been a big event in the local calendar for more than 30 years and we have put together a programme which hopefully features everyone’s favourite acts.”
Reaseheath’s Family Festival is this Sunday May 17 from 10am to 5pm. A family ticket (2 adults and 3 children) is £15. Children under 3 – free
