Kathryn Pownall, Creation Station owner

A Nantwich mum has been short-listed for a regional ‘leader’ prize after being nominated by parents.

Kathryn Pownall, who runs The Creation Station, is in the running for “The Most Outstanding Activity Leader for the Under 5s West and Wales”.

Kathryn is owner of The Creation Station franchise in Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach and Congleton.

The award is open to any leader who provides a class or activity for babies and/or toddlers that runs across the UK.

It is run by “What’s on 4 Little Ones” and is presented to the leader with the most votes from parents.

Kathryn, who has two children Maisie, aged 4, and two-year-old Rupert, said: “I’m delighted to have reached the finals of the most outstanding activity leader for under 5s.

“I’m passionate about providing unique classes that give parents and their children a shared, creative and educational experience.

“Children of all ages benefit from being involved in art and craft activities, it’s not necessarily about the end product but the exciting process they go through to create their own masterpiece while also developing their confidence and problem solving skills.

“I love meeting every baby and child who attend the weekly Baby Discover and Little Explorer classes and I feel very privileged to be a part of each of their unique creative journeys.”

Parents can log onto any of the award-winning on-line directories – www.whatson4littleones.co.uk, www.whatson4schoolkids.co.uk and www.whatson4kidsparties.co.uk – to vote for their favourite from the nominees.

Voting is open until May 1.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
