Nantwich Town’s battling victory over Whitby Town at the Weaver Stadium has secured their Evo-Stik Premier League status.

The Dabbers secured a dramatic 2-1 win with late Steve Jones and Ben Harrison goals to move clear of the relegation zone.

It could have been a night to forget when the visitors took the lead on 42 minutes through Dale Hobson, against the run of play.

And despite constant pressure applied by Phil Parkinson’s men, they could not find the breakthrough.

Then in the 81st minute, Nantwich finally netted an equaliser through Steve Jones finishing a nice move after Mat Bailey hit the bar.

Ben Harrison was the match winner as he turned in Matty Kosylo’s cross with five minutes to go.

They hung on for the win to ensure the Dabbers leap-frogged their visitors into 13th place with just two games to go.

The result has confirmed the Dabbers’ place in step 3 of non-league football for next season.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
