Nantwich Players Youth Section

Directed by Anne-Marie Scragg, Nantwich Players Youth Theatre present the wonderful classroom comedy ‘Teechers’ by John Godber this week, writes Claire Faulkner.

The Youth Theatre has produced a number of great performances over the last couple of years.

And ‘Teechers’ shows the high level of talent and dedication that the younger members of The Players clearly have.

David Alexander plays ‘Mr Nixon’, a newly qualified teacher, with both confidence and skill.

I hope we see David in future productions from The Players, as I’m sure he decides to pursue a career on the stage he will do well.

Credit must also go to the three leads of ‘Salty’, ‘Gail’ and ‘Hobby’  – played by Matthew Medovnikov, Amelia Shackleton and Natasha Thompson respectively.

All three worked incredibly hard and seemed to be on stage the entire time.

The Youth Theatre has met the challenge of presenting a John Godber play with wonderful energy and enthusiasm.

‘Teechers’ is showing at The Players Theatre from March 25 to 28.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
