Staff from a South Cheshire weight loss centre have helped raise more than £230 for the MRI scanner appeal at Leighton Hospital.
Jeff and Becky Dean, Dean Sidley and Lucy Miller, of Crewe Weight Loss Centre, offered people health advice using a medical grade body composition scanner in return for a donation to the MRI Scanner Appeal.
The event took place at various supermarket locations including Tesco in Crewe, Morrisons in Nantwich and Middlewich.
In total, they raised £236.63 for the appeal run by Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity.
Jeff and Becky said: “We’re delighted to have offered our support to both the general public and to Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity.
“We’d also like to thank everybody that supported the event and donated to the MRI Scanner Appeal.
“We hope that our support makes a difference.”
The current MRI scanner is working to full capacity between 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, with around 30 patients a day being scanned.
Successfully funding the £1 million target and procuring the additional MRI scanner will provide a number of benefits to patients, staff and the trust.
