Liam Connolly of LCT Fitness to stage Boot Camp

A Nantwich fitness instructor will be teaming up with Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity, to run the charity’s first ever Boot Camp.

Liam Connolly, of LCT Fitness, will stage the camp on Saturday March 14 at Sir William Stanier Leisure Centre in Crewe from 9am until 11am in aid of the MRI Scanner Appeal.

It will last for 45 minutes, and there will also be stalls offering health and wellbeing products for participants.

Tickets cost £7. The charity is now looking for participants to get friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them, especially if it’s a personal challenge.

Liam said: “I’m delighted to be teaming up with Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity to run their first ever Boot Camp, and support the MRI Scanner Appeal.

“Taking part in a Boot Camp is not only a great way to support a charity, but at the same time is a great personal challenge to take part in and fun too!”

Laura Riddle, charity manager for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity, said: “I’d like thank Liam for giving his time and expertise to run our first ever Boot Camp.

“I’d also like to thank him for encouraging people to take part in the event and register their interest via the Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity website.

“We are also encouraging local health and wellbeing businesses to book a stall at the event.

“As with the other fundraising events, the level of support from the local community is absolutely brilliant.”

Changing facilities will be available at the venue.

Leighton Hospital’s current MRI scanner is working to full capacity between 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, with 30 patients a day being scanned.

An additional MRI scanner will help address the shortfall in capacity.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

  1. I’m not sure how you’d manage that. Might be (just) achievable for in-patients, but I can’t imagine Leighton sending out letters saying “please report to reception at 3:30am…” I also assume the scanner is available 24/7 for A&E?

  2. If this article is correct, then it sounds like the MRI scanner at Leighton is working at only 50% capacity. 8am – 8pm is only 12 hours – could it not be used the other 12 as well?
