Nantwich Town has parted company with manager Danny Johnson.

News emerged from the Weaver Stadium club tonight (February 3).

In a statement the club confirmed it had “parted company with manager Danny Johnson by mutual consent”.

An announcement on his successor is to be made in due course, the statement added.

A spokesman said: “The board would like to place on record their sincere thanks for the contribution that he has made to the club during the past two seasons.

“We would like to wish him and his family all the best for the future.”

Nantwich Town have struggled in the Evo-Stik Premier League this season, currently hovering just about the relegation zone.

They have won just nine of 32 league games this season, and their latest defeat was a 3-1 reverse at his former club Ashton United on Saturday.

Johnson lost two key influential players last week when top scorer Aaron Burns left for Chorley, and midfielder Adam Jones moved to Trafford.

After those departures, Johnson tweeted: “The trials and tribulations of non league football management!”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
