The launch of the first dedicated FM radio station in Crewe and Nantwich is one step closer.
Regulator OfCom has confirmed The Cat Community Radio Station’s FM frequency as 107.9.
OfCom awarded The Cat the Licence in March 2014.
It is the first time in history that Crewe and Nantwich will have full time airspace on an FM frequency.
Preparations for the launch of moving from broadcasting as an internet radio station to a fully fledged station are well underway.
Staff at The Cat hope to announce a launch date soon.
Test transmissions on 107.9 FM frequency will take place in January as part of the build up to the launch.
