Nantwich Town put in a sensational performance to beat Belper Town 4-1 as they blew their hosts, writes Richard Scott.

Captain Mark Jones returned for the Dabbers, while Harry Clayton and Mark Winslade started up front with Aaron Burns on the bench.

The first real chance fell to Iain Howard, but he hit his shot just over the bar.

At the other end, Belper captain Steve Warne had his shot cleared off the line by right back John Disney in a tough opening 15 minutes.

Clayton managed to break down the wing and his cross was cleared behind and the following corner was cleared by the hosts.

On 22 minutes it was 1-0 to Nantwich when Matty Kosylo whipped the ball into the area and Andy Pearson (pictured) was on hand to head the ball home.

With 11 minutes to go until half time Andy Pearson was at the other end to keep the ball out of the net as both sides looked to get the second goal of the game.

Nantwich doubled their lead on 35 minutes, when following a Belper corner the Dabbers attacked through Kosylo down the flank and found Winslade inside the area, who slotted home.

Kosylo was looking to turn goalscorer as Belper stood off him and from 20 yards out he had a shot which flew just past the post.

Belper could have been back in the game on half time but Jon Froggatt blasted over.

The hosts had the first chance in the second half when Glyn Cotton hit a half volley comfortably saved by Terry Smith.

It looked like it was 3-0 Nantwich on 52 minutes but Belper keeper Martin produced a double save to deny Howard and Clayton.

But it was 3-0 on 56 minutes when Martin brought down Winslade. Howard sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot.

The hosts pulled one back a minute later when Ashley Burbeary crossed to Foggarty at the back post to head home.

Nantwich could have had a fourth when Pearson smashed the inside of the post before the keeper beat Winslade to the rebound.

Belper were then reduced to 10 men with over 20 minutes to go when Burbeary brought down Mark Jones just outside the area.

Burbeary received his second yellow of the match and was off.

Dabbers manager Danny Johnson brought on Max Harrop for Clayton with eight minutes to go as Nantwich looked for their fourth.

Substitute Steve Jones made it safe on 87 minutes, when a poor kick from Martin found the former Northern Ireland international who hit an unstoppable shot from 25 yards out to seal the points.

Nantwich next play Curzon Ashton at the Weaver Stadium on Saturday November 29.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
